The Grateful Dead was, for me, the gateway to entire worlds of music. Country music, bluegrass and the blues. Just as the band was driven by Jerry Garcias musical interests and obsessions, so too was I captivated by the spirit and playing of Jerry and sought him out in various combinations. So we celebrate the great Garcia in the playlist here. From his vivid pedal-steel playing on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Youngs Teach Your Children to the high lonesome sound of Old & In the Way, Jerry was always an invitation to transport.
